Editor’s Note
I have been fearing the downfall of an entire era of Physical Therapy Graduates. I analyzed graduate behavior for certain months and the majority of them fit into a pattern which I call “FOFO: Fear of Figuring It Out ” The fire to run out of comfort zones or venture into different belief systems appears difficult to graduates. Why do I specifically target them?
Unfortunately, even though these individuals are in their prime time to venture they are still stuck in Sheep Mentality.
With this edition, we push the angst from our bellies and put forth our theme- Sophist Rhetoric: Oasis or Mirage. Sophism has been portrayed in history majorly as a positively negative influencer; in simple words- The influencer of today. Sophists were teachers, mentors, and propagators without major rules governing them. We have many sophists propagating ideas in our community and being at the receiving end we consume it without critical analysis. This edition’s articles are unique voices of their own made in collaboration with multiple field experts to debunk mindless propagation.
The goal is to sensitize current Physical Therapists to look at treatment, assessment, philosophy, or trajectory of a career with a lens that isn’t smudged by prenotions and corrupted by strong business models.
