Editor’s Note

Creator Brain. Managerial Brain. Steel Brain. I’m quoting different types of brain descriptions here to get your attention straight up. If you have a creator brain you majorly think, conceptualize creatively and give outputs, for most of the day. Managerial brains are usually spectacular at delegating, decision making and running the circus. With Steel brains you are able to dig into details, work on specifics, create solutions and work on complex tasks in depth.

As a PT student you don’t hone any of these brains. It’s more of a learning curve for you where the output is marks and input is books/ online education via YouTube or other platforms. Well this is when the problem starts- we are not able to pin down on any of the brains for 5 years as a PT student and most of us might continue to be in the same pattern: of input/ output of a student. Input of books might change to patient woes and output of marks changes to patient solutions.

Imagine we never explored the 3 brain sides. Nothing would go wrong, but you will have not explored your brain’s core abilities completely and adding value to a bigger community might just remain a dream.

With this edition we want PTs to embrace the fact that we have the brains of a creator, manager and steel and excelling at one brain function or all at the same time is a personal choice.

This edition highlights  Networking & Environmental Physiotherapy, two major unexplored themes in our system.

Talking about MSK we disseminate diaphragm and shoulder in one of our articles. This time we put some spotlight on off-beat courses for  recent grads who are brave- a little too much and want to look beyond.

Another steal of the day is my favorite highlight on Virtual Reality, this piece will put you in a position to change your horizon and push a little. Are you going to be a part of the change TPZ wants to create for the Indian PT Community?
